Almost 35% of websites are now run on WordPress.

So It became an ideal target for Hackers to get into these sites and use them for various purposes.

Maximum WordPress site owner is not aware of Website maintenance. Sites that are unattended are surely vulnerable to hackers.

And this is the reason you should understand and implement WordPress Security on your site and keep updating regularly.

Here is a WordPress Security checklist you must implement,

#1 The first thing you can do is to Update your WordPress on Priority, 40% of hacks are due to the core software not being up-to-date.

#2. Update your themes and plugins on regular basis, avoid the nulled versions of any theme and plugins.

#3. Make someone responsible for your Website Security. If there is no one, you should immediately make one.

#4. Carry out Penetration testing on regular basis to find out the vulnerabilities.

#5 Upgrade your Web Hosting service, Dedicated and VPS may be costly but it increases security.

#6. Change your site from HTTP to HTTPS, many businesses fail to implement this small part.

#7. Regularly take a backup of your site.

#8 Change the default login URL to something else.

#9. Install a Security Plugin that monitors and notify you about failed login attempts, malware scanning, and more.

#10. Enable a web application firewall.
